System integrator, Ray Energy is set to proceed with the construction of six photovoltaic systems. The largest is a 990 kilowatt project at a site in southern Italy. The company will provide the system on a turn key basis. The other five systems will total 49.5 kilowatts.
The projects will be completed on behalf of a private investor, who will secure its revenue stream from the Conto Energia Feed In tariff law approved last year.
The 990 kilowatt system will be ground mounted, while the small systems will be installed on roofs. The installations are expected to commence construction around the end of this year.
The solar project will cost around 8 million Euros. Module supply for the large project will come from Sharp Electronics, while Mitsubishi Electric modules will be utilized for the smaller systems.
